WHO ARE We
ABOUT LAKE STREET
SOLAR
Lake Street Solar is a mission-driven organization dedicated to bringing solar energy to underserved communities. Lake Street Solar works with various organizations as a developer to install solar arrays on local Black and Brown-owned businesses in the Twin Cities. We strive to support communities of color throughout this process, which is why we’ve partnered with Go Solar, a local Black-owned solar installer, for all our projects.
As a dedicated small solar company, we are focused on developing and constructing solar projects by the end of 2024 and into 2025. We are particularly excited about locations along Lake Street, as they align with our initial project goals.
In 2022, 11672.8 KWh were generated for our customers

COMMUNITY SOLAR
You will sign a Solar Lease contract and pay for the solar power delivered to you – at a rate lower than what Xcel Energy charges you. The exact discount rate will be determined by which incentives you qualify for and receive. After 10 years, you will have the option to buy the system at a steep discount – likely less than 10% of the original cost of the solar project.
