Lake Street Solar is a mission driven organization with the goal of bringing solar to underserved communities. Lake Street Solar works with various organizations as a Developer to install solar arrays on local Black and Brown owned businesses in the Twin Cities. Lake Street Solar strives to support folks of color throughout this process which is why we’ve partnered with Go Solar, a local Black-owned solar installer, for all of our projects.

COMMUNITY SOLAR
You will sign a Solar Lease contract and pay for the solar power delivered to you – at a rate lower than what Xcel Energy charges you. The exact discount rate will be determined by which incentives you qualify for and receive. After 10 years, you will have the option to buy the system at a steep discount – likely less than 10% of the original cost of the solar project.
